Teelixir is an Australian-owned company specialising in certified organic medicinal mushroom and tonic herb extracts. Founded in Melbourne in 2015, we were Australia's first brand to offer Certified Organic medicinal mushroom extracts — and today our products are trusted by practitioners and stocked in Go Vita and over 2,000 retailers across Australia.

Our Story
Teelixir was born from a deep respect for the healing traditions of East Asia — where medicinal mushrooms like Lion's Mane, Reishi, and Cordyceps have been used for centuries as part of daily health practice. What began as a passion project in Melbourne quickly became Australia's pioneering certified organic mushroom supplement brand.
From the beginning, Teelixir has been committed to Di Tao sourcing — an ancient Chinese principle meaning "authentic source." Every mushroom and herb in our range is grown in its traditional region of origin, on natural substrates like hardwood logs, by small family farms we have visited personally. This is how medicinal mushrooms have been cultivated for centuries, and it produces the highest concentration of bioactive compounds.
Every Teelixir product is made exclusively from fruiting bodies — no fillers, grains, starch, or mycelium grown on grain. We believe in transparency: what's on the label is what's in the product, nothing more.
Our Team
Peter Orpen
Co-Owner & Director
Peter has been involved with Teelixir since 2017. He has been involved with the establishing of our distributor and retailer network both in Australia and overseas.
Peter set up the original certified organic status for Teelixir and initial supplier networks of certified organic growers & processors that adhered to Di Tao practices and quality standards.
Peter has been a Director of Teelixir since September 2023, bringing his academic background in Economics and business experience growing Teelixir since incorporation along with original founders Julze & Dan and in growing several other natural products brands successfully.
Peter is a regular contributor to Teelixir's educational content on functional mushrooms and adaptogens.
Jayson Rodda - Co-Owner & Operations Director
Jayson oversees operations, technology, supply chain, and business development across Teelixir's Australian operations. With a background in systems engineering and e-commerce, he ensures every product meets rigorous quality standards from farm to customer. Jayson manages Teelixir's compliance with Australian organic certification requirements (ACO Cert. No. 12672) and food safety standards. He is responsible for Teelixir's evidence-based content strategy, working to ensure all published health information is grounded in peer-reviewed scientific research.
