"This is by far the best Reishi on the market. More potent, more therapeutic dosage — I can literally feel my nervous system relax after taking it."

Organic Reishi Extract — 10:1 Concentrated, 31.7% Beta-Glucans Confirmed
You want to sleep deeply. You want your immune system working properly. You want your nervous system to stop running hot.
Reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) is the most-researched medicinal mushroom on earth — over 1,000 published studies, nearly 300 meta-analyses, and a clinical use history spanning more than 2,000 years. Its polysaccharide extract, GLPS, is an approved pharmaceutical drug in China (approved 2000, in clinical use since 1973).
Our Reishi is a certified organic 10:1 dual extract from 100% fruiting bodies — with a confirmed beta-glucan content of 31.7% (our specification is ≥30%, independently verified by third-party COA). That's the concentration that makes the research meaningful. Not a sprinkle. The real thing.

What the Research Shows
Fatigue and Wellbeing — RCT (n=132)
A randomised, double-blind, placebo-controlled trial of 132 adults found that 1,800mg of Reishi daily over 4 weeks produced statistically significant improvements in fatigue, anxiety, and general wellbeing compared to placebo. The researchers concluded Reishi had a "beneficial effect on the quality of life" (PMID: 15857210).
RCT, 2005. 132 participants, 4 weeks.
Immune Function — Cochrane Systematic Review
A Cochrane systematic review found that cancer patients using Reishi alongside conventional therapy showed improved immune response and quality of life. Reishi "stimulates host immune defences in individuals with advanced tumours." The reviewers noted it may be "a useful supplement in cancer treatment" (PMID: 22696372).
Cochrane SR, 2012. Multiple trials reviewed.
Cholesterol and Lipid Markers — RCT (n=110)
A randomised double-blind crossover RCT of 110 participants with dyslipidaemia found that Reishi spore oil produced significant reductions in triglyceride levels compared to placebo (PMID: 40077714).
RCT, 2025. 110 participants, crossover design.
Broad Evidence — Critical Review (2015–2020)
A critical review of Reishi literature confirmed clinical evidence for immune modulation, antioxidant activity, anticancer adjunct use, liver support, and metabolic benefits. Reishi's polysaccharide (GLPS) has been an approved pharmaceutical in China since 2000, with clinical use since 1973. Toxicological data supports a good safety profile at standard supplemental doses (PMID: 34411377).

What Customers Say
"I swear by a reishi before bed, I always feel so calm and soothed and drift straight off to sleep. It has been absolutely life changing for me."
— Paige Z., Verified Buyer ★★★★★
"After my husband's passing I was having restless nights. My daughter suggested Teelixir. Now I take it each night before bed and it helps me sleep."
— IVY B., Verified Buyer ★★★★★
"Excellent product! Works great to calm and relax my body. I get through the day with more energy and less fatigue."
— Urszula K., Verified Buyer ★★★★★
"This Reishi is my favourite! I just mix it with hot water and drink it. I have tried a few different ones and they don't compare to the quality of Teelixir."
— Kadri S., Verified Buyer ★★★★★
Why Concentration Matters
Reishi has a hard woody texture when fresh. You can't just grind it and sprinkle it in your coffee. The bioactive compounds — beta-glucan polysaccharides and triterpenes (ganoderic acids) — are locked inside a cell wall structure that the human body cannot break down efficiently without extraction.
That's why extraction method and ratio matters more for Reishi than almost any other mushroom. Our dual-extraction uses hot water to release the water-soluble polysaccharides, and ethanol to capture the fat-soluble triterpenes that hot water alone cannot reach. The result: a 10:1 concentrate with a confirmed 31.7% beta-glucan content — measured against our ≥30% specification and verified by independent COA testing.
By comparison, whole dried Reishi powder contains 1–5% beta-glucans in bioavailable form. You would need 6–30 grams of whole powder to match the active content in 1 gram of our extract. That's a meaningful difference.

How to Use It
Daily serve: 1–2 grams (approximately ½–1 teaspoon). Most customers use Reishi in the evening — it's calming rather than stimulating, and the RCT showing fatigue improvements used a daily regime consistently over weeks.
Best in:
-
Hot water (traditional) — simply dissolve in hot water for a traditional preparation. "I just mix it with hot water and drink it" (Kadri, verified buyer)
-
Evening cacao or hot chocolate — Reishi's earthy, slightly bitter note complements raw cacao naturally
-
Herbal tea — dissolve in a chamomile or ashwagandha tea for a compounding calming effect
-
Coffee — if you prefer morning use, it adds an earthy depth. Less common than evening use but works well
-
Golden milk — combine with turmeric, black pepper, coconut milk, and honey
Taste note: Reishi has a characteristic bitter-earthy flavour. The bitterness comes from the triterpenes — the same compounds associated with the liver and immune activity. Start at ½ teaspoon and adjust. Adding honey or coconut milk rounds it out.
Pairs Well With
-
Lion's Mane — the most popular stack: cognitive clarity (Lion's Mane) + deep calm (Reishi). Multiple customers reported using both daily
-
Ashwagandha — for stress-driven sleep problems, combining adaptogens addresses both cortisol and the nervous system
-
Cordyceps — for those wanting performance alongside immune and recovery support

Common Questions
Why does Reishi taste bitter? Is that normal?
+
Yes. The bitterness comes from triterpenes — particularly ganoderic acids — which are the fat-soluble compounds unique to Reishi. These are captured specifically by the ethanol extraction step. If a Reishi product has no bitterness at all, that's a red flag: the triterpenes are likely absent. Our 31.7% beta-glucan COA and dual extraction confirm both compound families are present. Start with ½ teaspoon and adjust. Honey or coconut milk softens the flavour substantially.
When should I take it — morning or night?
+
Evening is the most common pattern and tends to produce the most noticeable effect for sleep quality. Most of our customers mix it into a warm evening drink — cacao, herbal tea, or just hot water — about 30–60 minutes before bed. You can take it in the morning too, particularly if stacking with Lion's Mane or Cordyceps — there's no contraindication. Experiment with what feels best for you.
How long before I notice anything?
+
The RCT showing fatigue and wellbeing improvements ran 4 weeks at 1,800mg daily. Some customers — particularly those using it for sleep — notice effects within a few days. Others find it takes 2–4 weeks. Reishi is not a sedative — it doesn't knock you out. It works by calming the nervous system and supporting the body's natural sleep mechanisms. The effect is gentler and more gradual than most people expect.
What's the difference between your Reishi and a cheaper powder?
+
Most cheap Reishi is either (a) ground whole mushroom — which cannot be meaningfully absorbed without extraction, (b) mycelium grown on grain — which is mostly grain starch, or (c) extracted but not COA-verified for beta-glucan %. Ours is a 10:1 dual extract with a published, independent COA showing 31.7% beta-glucans. You are not guessing at potency — it's confirmed. The Cochrane review, the RCT, and 1,000+ studies were conducted on extracted polysaccharide preparations, not raw whole mushroom powder.
Is Reishi safe to take long-term?
+
Reishi has a 2,000-year history of traditional use and the available toxicological data supports a good safety profile at standard supplemental doses (1–3g extract per day). GLPS has been a pharmaceutical drug in China for over 50 years with extensive safety tracking. Rare reports of digestive discomfort exist at high doses. If you take blood-thinning medication, consult a healthcare practitioner — Reishi has some platelet activity. Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals should consult a practitioner before use.
