When you compare mushroom powders, check two things on the label. Which part of the mushroom is used? Is it an extract, or just dried mushroom?
Ours answers both. It's 100% fruiting body — the mushroom itself. There's no mycelium grown on grain in the pack.
The mushrooms are dual-extracted, first in hot water, then in ethanol. That captures both the water-soluble compounds and the alcohol-soluble ones. The extract is then dried to a fine powder.
We follow the Di Tao principle: source each ingredient from where it's traditionally grown. Our lion's mane is grown in China. It's certified organic by Australian Certified Organic (ACO).
The Honest Bit
It tastes earthy. It isn't sweet. There's no flavouring to hide that it's a mushroom.
It also costs more per gram than a plain dried mushroom powder. That's because each gram starts as ten grams of fruiting body.
Colour can shift a little from batch to batch. That's normal for a single-ingredient mushroom extract. Nothing is added to make every batch look the same.

Mild and earthy. It isn't sweet. In coffee or cacao it adds a gentle earthy note. In plain hot water it tastes like a light mushroom broth.
How is this different from your Pure Lion's Mane?
Pure Lion's Mane (1:1) is the whole fruiting body, dried then milled. This one is a 10:1 extract — 10 kg of mushroom concentrated into 1 kg. Pure costs less per gram. This one is the concentrated format.
Why does "fruiting body" matter?
The fruiting body is the mushroom you can see. Mycelium is the root-like web underneath, often grown on grain. Ours is 100% fruiting body, with no grain in the pack. Check any label for this before you compare prices.
How much do I use?
Follow the suggested serve on the label.
Will it dissolve?
It mixes best into warm or hot liquid. Stir well. If a little settles, stir again before the last sip.
Is it tested?
Yes. It's third-party tested against limits for heavy metals (lead, arsenic, cadmium, mercury) and for microbes, including E. coli and salmonella.
Which size should I buy?
Trying it for the first time? Get the 50 g. Using it every day? The 1 kg is the lowest price per gram, at about 35c.
Can I have it if I'm pregnant or on medication?

Love this powder. Have it every morning on my cereal. Definitely more energy and clearer mind
Love it!! I mix it in with my morning coffee and it tastes great. Gives it a nice full, earthy taste and, I feel I am honouring myself and my brain.
We often ingest and stress our minds and bodies in lots of ways and I feel this is the least I can do to support my brain health.
I'm getting older and know my brain is not as sharp as it once was and with the alarming rise of dementia which is now the second largest killer of women in Australia, I want to do everything I can to support my health and age amazingly.

I have used lionmane mushroom before when I needed to study for a certain certificate in health care. I have always had a bad memory so to study anything at all is a very stressful experience for me as I struggle to remember if it's new information. But after 2 weeks on lionsmane, I could remember things after reading them once only, instead of going over things again and again and again. PLUS I had a more of a logical thinking process overall. I absolutely love Teelixir's Lions Mane. It is the tastiest in the market - I have it with my green tea each morning without fail. It has an earthy taste without tasting like dirt (like some of the other products in the market have). It helps improve my mood (fantastic to have while going through menopause). It also boosts my immune system so I don't pick up the change of season colds/flu's. It also gives me energy and best of all, it is natural. I have been taking it for about 3 years now and buy it in bulk so I never have to be without it.
I wasn't aware that a product such as Lions Mane mushroom existed until a friend mentioned it. I found the Teelixir brand in my local health food store. I found adding the recommended amount of the powder to my smoothies daily in combination with exercise on a regular basis did assist in optimising my mental clarity and mood.

Have you changed your Lions Mane product? I noticed that the colour is different, it smells and tastes different and the consistency is also different.
Colour - darker
Smells - more earthy
Tastes - slightly more bitter
Consistency - it is a rougher consistency. The orders I have received from you in the past have been a fine consistency. This consistency is not as fine and a lot of the product sinks to the bottom of my tea.
I noticed that you now have an Organic Lions Mane product. Is this the product that you used to sell as your Lions Mane and it has now been elevated as organic? Or could it be that your supply and/or production has changed?
The finer consistency and taste is what drew me to your product and I bought a bulk pack of it - this is my 3rd bulk pack purchase with Teelixir. I have been ordering through you for a few years now and I would be happy to hear your response to my feedback when possible.
